Matresque (Through Smoke)

"Pure, undiluted awesome."

date: June 18, 2008

Like, triple-distilled awesome. The beat is nice, the strings are definitely what gives it its touch. A brooding mood to the piece brings that to the forefront. All the elements blend together so perfectly in... in... in an orgy of awesome.

Definate respect. Dude, you have got a talent there. Use it as much as you can, if you're only 15 and doing stuff like this, I wouldn't be surprised if you made a career in music. Well done.

Author's Response:

Thanks so VERY much, and I am a chick ;) But you probably meant dude in the dudish way XD . lolol. Thanks for the talent compliment.... I'd like to make a music career...Its just I'm unable to get a footing into major music avenues, there is no point, becuase I could make more money elsewhere. It depends. lol And yes I swear I just turned 15 on June 15th :P Thanks again for your wonderful review!

MASTERING. LEARN IT. And get something better than FL.

June 20, 2008

Author's Response:

I've just started my activity in this domain... i can't know everything right. Yeah, i'm learning...
And i've started with FL as i've heard it's easy. If you want to be helpful then define "something better than FL" for me... give examples or recomandations.
Also the song sucks, i know... it's far from done...

Fuck Da Haterz *08*

"Not Bad."

date: June 18, 2008

Definately a nice beat. The piano adds a real nice element to it. Actually , the piano IS the song, otherwise you'd have bass, a clap, and some voices coming in every once in a while. Did a good job with it though.

But dude, chill. Chiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiill. Dude below me, too. No problems you have are going to get solved on Newgrounds anyway.

Dude, I like it. I like the idea behind it and what you did with it. But DUDE. Tone down that snare a bit. It feels like its punching my eardrums every time it hits.

DJ Yoshii - Into the Light

"An INSPIRATION"

date: June 18, 2008

Dude. I mean, dude. Like whoa. I have never heard the Blutonium sample pack used that way! What prog you use? Acid? I actually stumbled upon this piece because i tried uploading my own hardstyle named "Into the Light" and the name was taken. So after i renamed it "Into the Light (hardstyle)" (creative, I know) I did a search to see what the other one sounded like, and found this amidst the search results.

This is AWESOME. A true inspiration. I'm going to start making my next piece RIGHT NOW before I lose the idea I've got. Dude, thank you so much, you've just cured my block.

June 30, 2008

Author's Response:

The only thing I used from the Blutonium Pack was the vocals itself, the rest were altered samples scattered throughout my library and vsti's. I don't use Acid at all, I tried and I don't like it though, a few people I know and work close with do, and I can't figure out why lol. I use Fruity Loops Studio 4, and just recently started implementing Audacity to help with the Mastering.

This is one of my newer tracks along with "Club Will Never Close", all my other stuff on here thus far is AT LEAST a year old and beyond (though this is before I discovered better ways to Master a track, as my new technique is recent).

My newer projects are creations I have not even finished yet lol, so stay tuned, I'm working on it bro.

Clown Will Eat Me

"Unsettling."

submission: Clown Will Eat Me
date: June 17, 2008

Up until about 4 minutes, its rather nice and relaxing, then the mood of the piece goes quickly awry. Something's gone wrong. Something's just not right here. Everything goes quiet, the danger has gone, its okay to go back to sleep. But no, he's still there...

This definitely deserves my 9 and 4.

(hardstyle) Kreation

"I like it, but..."

date: June 17, 2008

...It doesn't have the bomb-like bass or full, surrounding leads that are characteristic of hardstyle. Now, for some reason, i just naturally gravitate toward hardstyle, and, while this is good, I was just a bit disappointed. I'll definately be looking at some of your other stuff, though.

Experimental Stage

"This is what I like to hear."

submission: Experimental Stage
date: June 5, 2008

Its really nice to hear something different that doesn't sound like crap. My ONLY gripe would be that the same melody looped over again gets a little repetitive, but that can be easily fixed with a bit of tweaking. You've got my respect.

June 5, 2008

Author's Response:

Thanks very much for the review, one of my major problems with creating different music is trying to stop it from being repetitive, but I do think that the problem is getting a lot easier to solve with every new song. Thanks

Seriously, it DOES remind me of music that should be played at a tough-if-not-final boss in a video game. And I like that.
